EK Municipal ranking 2023: Jyväskylä's ranking among the top 10

According to the Municipal ranking study published by EK (Confederation of Finnish Industries), the Jyväskylä region still remains among the most business-friendly regions in Finland. In the comparison of 25 regions, Jyväskylä ranked 9th in the top 10 among large cities. Companies in the region evaluate the city's business policy and business climate more positively than the national average.

Finding the right education for job seekers becomes easier

During the spring, Central Finland's employment agencies invite all unemployed jobseekers in the region to Kohti education events to learn about study options. During the spring, the operators organize three separate training events for different target groups. Lack of skills is often the cause of unemployment.

Experience KeMu – The Museum of Central Finland in the eyes of an international student

I have been drawn to the nature in Jyväskylä as a student so much that my love for history and heritage studies was diminishing. The prepossessing summers in Jyväskylä bring with them a lot of activities: nature walking, photography, biking, traveling, studying, swimming, and attending concerts among others. The nature in Jyväskylä, at least to visitors and international students, could be overpowering that it is easy not to learn of how the city - its past, continuing and changing features of life – has come to be defined.
